A Metering pump is a positive displacement chemical dosing device
with the ability to vary volume manually or automatically, as
process conditions require. A Metering pump should feature a
high level of repetitive accuracy and be capable of pumping
a wide range of chemicals including corrosive , harmful chemicals,
highy viscous liquids and slurries. A Metering pump is usually
driven by a constant speed motor, although different drive mechanisms
may be used depending upon the application at hand including
fixed speed, variable speed, electric drive, solenoid drive,
and magnetic drive. The drive mechanism translates the rotary
motion of the driver into reciprocating movement.An Industrial
duty metering pump will submerge this portion of the pump in
an oil to assure reliability during continuous operation.
