This is a common phenomenon in high speed centrifuging when water is being dumped out. During this operation, there is a sudden increase in water content at the outlet of the oil centrifuge which is picked up immediately by the EASZ-1 water in oil monitor showing not only the increase in water content but exactly what amount of contamination is occurring and for how long. Operators who are familiar with this phenomenon and do not want an alarm to be sounded in the control room each time there is a desludging operation will benefit from the DACS control unit which can act as a delay timer adjustable to any size or brand of oil centrifuge and operation since the the timer is set according to the onsite requirements.
