SAFETY - Never play with electricity! You, our valued customer, take for granted that we have built every possible safety precaution into our pumps, and we have. We go to incredible lengths to ensure that every component in every pump exceeds the safety standards of our industry. But we cannot prevent a dog from chewing through the power cord, lightning strikes, voltage surges in the power lines or the inevitable deterioration caused by normal usage. What we can do is recommend that you always install a ground fault circuit interrupter known as a GFI or GFCI whenever any electrical product is used around water. In most of your communities, building codes require a GFCI. However, if your home was built over 10 years ago, it may not be equipped with GFCI’s. You can purchase a GFCI at any hardware store, home center, or electrical supply shop. They are inexpensive and easy to install. Ensure that you, your children, and your pets are safe from any potential harm. Always use a GFCI!
