The Water Pump Rate Calculator is used for Water Pipe Flow Calculations in hot and cold water. It can also be used to convert between common metric and imperial volumetric flow rates in gallons, liters, cubic feet, cubic meters and barrels. The calculation works best on Water Pump Rate Flow in tubes and pipes.
The Water Pump Flow Rate can also be converted back to velocity in inches per second, feet per second, centimeters per second and meters per second. The velocity of water pumped through a pipe or tube is value of its SPEED, whereas the Flow Rate is a value of the VOLUME/TIME
This Water Pump Rate Calculator does not take into account the effects of pipe internal roughness .
The Water Pipe internal diameters are normally expressed in millimeters or inches.
This program assumes that the pump is pumping water through the pipe or tube with a sufficient pressure to make sure the pipe is always full of water. This water pump calculation should not be used for partially filled pipes.
